Terms, Conditions & Booking Policy

Universal Learning Connections Pte. Ltd. — Effective Date: 30th July 2026

Universal Learning Connections Pte. Ltd. (“ULC”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides tutoring for children aged 5 to 14. By booking a session, enrolling a child, or using our website (ulctutoring.sg), you agree to the following Terms, Conditions & Booking Policy.

These terms ensure clarity, fairness, and a safe learning environment for all students and families.

1. Service Description

ULC provides educational services including literacy, numeracy and enrichment programmes. Sessions may be conducted in-person or online, depending on programme availability. Session duration, format, and learning materials may vary based on the programme.

2. Booking Policy

2.1 Session Bookings

Sessions must be booked in advance through our approved booking channels.

Bookings are confirmed once ULC receives the required information and acknowledges the session.

2.2 Parent Responsibilities

Parents/guardians are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate student information
  • Ensuring punctual drop-off and pick-up
  • Ensuring the child is prepared for the session (materials, readiness, etc.)

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

3.1 Parent-Initiated Cancellations

Parents must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel a scheduled session. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the session will be forfeited and no refund or credit will be provided.

This ensures fairness and allows ULC to manage staffing and scheduling effectively.

3.2 Centre-Initiated Cancellations

If ULC cancels a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, emergencies, operational issues), ULC will:

  • Make every reasonable attempt to reschedule the session, or
  • Refund the session amount, if rescheduling is not possible

This protects families and ensures transparency.

3.3 No-Show Policy

If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the session is considered forfeited.

4. Behaviour & Safety

4.1 Student Behaviour

Students are expected to:

  • Behave respectfully
  • Follow safety instructions
  • Participate appropriately in learning activities

ULC reserves the right to discontinue sessions if behaviour repeatedly disrupts learning or poses safety concerns.

4.2 Safety Requirements

Parents/guardians must ensure:

  • Timely drop-off and pick-up
  • That children follow centre rules
  • That any medical or behavioural needs are disclosed during enrolment

ULC is not responsible for personal items lost or left behind.

5. Learning Materials & Intellectual Property

All worksheets, lesson materials, digital content, and teaching resources provided by ULC remain the intellectual property of Universal Learning Connections Pte. Ltd.

Parents and students may not copy, distribute, or reproduce materials without written permission.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

ULC collects personal data only for purposes related to our educational services. This includes student names, dates of birth, parent/guardian details, and booking information.

By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of that policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

ULC is not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings
  • Injuries resulting from unsafe behaviour or failure to follow instructions
  • Service interruptions caused by external factors (e.g., internet outages for online sessions)

ULC’s responsibility is limited to the delivery of educational services as described.

8. Centre Rights

ULC reserves the right to:

  • Modify programmes, schedules, or session formats
  • Refuse service where necessary for safety or operational reasons
  • Update this policy with reasonable notice

Any updates will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Parents who have enrolled their child will be notified.

9. Governing Law

These Terms, Conditions & Booking Policy are governed by the laws of Singapore.
